THE BEST CAFE EATS IN BALI

I’m a huge Cafe crawler! Always on the lookout for great coffee, delicious and healthy wholefood meals, especially ones that are jam packed with gorgeous local tropical produce! I have a huge list of amazing Cafe’s and Restaurants I’ve been to or want to try - I swear the list gets longer each time I visit Bali - from local warangs (eateries) to world class restaurants and an abundance of trendy, unique Cafes - so spoilt for choice!

Here’s a few of my fav Cafe go to’s!

Sisterfields - Seminyak

A go to ‘destination’ for an all day dining experience, from brunch to lunch and into the evening, with in-door and out-door seating areas you feel like you’re right amongst the ambience and high vibe of the Bali buzz around Seminyak Square. Vibrant decor and design, an with an abundance of super friendly staff that all have me returning time and time again - it’s such a neat place to watch the world go by as you sip on a fresh coconut and pour over the extensive quality menu before deciding that actually.. you ‘want it all!’ You have to try the Vietnamese poached chicken salad with a side of their famous ‘polenta parmesan fries with aoli’.. out of this world and one of my favourite orders!

Next door you’ll find me in the mornings at Sibling Espresso Bar chatting to the lovely barrister Arie whose busy serving up the best takeaway coffee in Seminyak! A small coffee roaster and espresso bar located next door - this is a great little edition, or ‘sibling’ to the Sisterfield family and ideal for those ‘on the go’ but needing their coffee fix! And fix it will - superb!

The Shady Shack - Canggu

When an instagram post comes to life in the most delicious of ways! Is it possible I wonder to try absolutely everything on a menu and still be delighted with every choice? YES it is! The Shady Shack cafe has been one of my go to cafes for years and I’m never disappointed! I’ve enjoyed breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks from this vegan, vegetarian wholefood mecca and am blown away with every morsel of goodness! Plus the outdoor area is just gorgeous! Whether you are gluten free or vegan or just love a plant based meal to nourish your body - this cafe has it all! along with a juice and coffee menu to appease even the biggest thirst! I’m always triple parked with a Macchiato, a cold pressed juice and an immunity shot! My favourite - the Haloumi salad bowl and a chocolate caramel vegan slice to takeaway!

Peleton Supershop - Berawa

Plant powered and bicycle inspired.. enter the world of plant-based cuisine! You may ask if you can stay here for breakfast, lunch and dinner? the answer is yes, of course you can! And you may need to, or at least make this cafe/restaurant one of your fav’s too, so you can enjoy the incredible menu they offer - vegan, vegetarian, gluten free.. they’ve got it covered.. and their meals are substantial too. One of my favourite breakfast options here is the Granola Lola - cinnamon, Cashew and Raisin gluten free Granola served with Coconut Yoghurt, tropical seasonal fruits and homemade coconut milk! How beautiful is this image I took on my last visit to Peloton - almost too pretty to eat! This cafe also offers an extensive range of super healthy shots, Ayurvedic teas, smoothies and juices. One of their philosophies encourages us all to tread lightly on this planet, to lead a conscious, sustainable lifestyle as a collective and to enjoy good healthy food sourced locally, to seek balance.. and I couldn’t agree with them more!

Sea Circus Cafe - Seminyak

The name says it all - close to the sea and decorated in the brightest of colours, yet this is no circus.. but a wonderful space to sit and enjoy the energy this coffee den, restaurant and cocktail bar exudes. Breakfast, lunch and dinner - they’ve got you covered! As their motto says.. ‘Some days we drink coconut lattes and eat scrambled vegan tofu. On other days we indulge in tasty tacos and drink way too many margaritas… we’re all about that #balance’. They make a great açai bowl and their coffee hits the spot! But in keeping within the ‘circus’ theme I just had to try their ‘Fairy Floss Pancakes’ it came highly recommended and I wasn’t disappointed - plus it brought out my inner child for the time it took me to eat it! Ricotta pancakes with raspberry sauce, mini meringues caramelised banana, strawberries, blueberries, white chocolate cream, pink fairy floss & lemon butterscotch pouring sauce.. sugar overload! But such fun!

Coffee Cartel Cafe - Petitenget

For the love of all things PINK and famous for their coffee ripple machine that will turn your ordinary coffee into an extraordinary experience. Whether it be your name, a logo or a butterfly - they can print whatever you like on top of your coffee of choice! This gorgeous boutique coffee shop, nestled in the back streets of Petitenget with a new location set to open in Legian, offers a large menu - one that spoils you for choice along with satisfying the biggest of appetites! A great spot for brunch and if there’s still room.. another coffee and maybe a sweet treat!
