My go to beach bars (usually barefoot!) with mojito in hand, sandy feet, salty skin and usually just after a swim.. perfect!
The Lawn Beach Lounge - Canggu
Opening directly onto the black sanded beach of Canggu, with the soundtrack of the waves rolling in, this lounge bar is perfect for slow Sunday sessions (or any day in Bali!) - a great spot to meet friends to share tapas menu’s, cocktails, chill to live bands, relax and dance. With its daybed overload and Indian Ocean views you are set for all day lounging. Upstairs is a gorgeous restaurant serving the freshest ingredients of the island, with modernised beach lounge dishes with an Indonesian twist - the perfect spot to relax, chill-out after a surf, wind down with live music and and watch the sun set on the west coast.
La Plancha - Seminyak
ah-la-plahn-chah - hand’s down my favourite spot along Seminyak beach to watch the sun go down - a sea of brightly coloured bean bags and umbrellas are iconic in Bali but the vibrancy of this beach bar, the fun and friendly staff, the blend of ‘Spain meets Bali’ replicated so well in the blend of music they play and the tapas style menu they serve. It’s the perfect place to arrive from late afternoon and into the evening, for friends, families and anyone who wants a front seat to watch the breath-taking sunsets! Bare-feet essential of course!
